The purpose of the Association is to insure subscribers against risks of loss due to the imposition of legal liability.

By purchasing a policy from a reciprocal exchange, the insured will become a member of our association and sign a subscription agreement. Our premiums are competitive with and in a number of cases lower than most companies. We are committed to providing insurance at the lowest possible cost to physicians. To help us meet that goal, PCA no longer charges a subscription fee.

To limit PCA’s exposure to catastrophic loss, we also purchase reinsurance, which protects us just like we protect you. That means a double layer of security for our policyholders.
